Dear all, As part of our new year's resolution, we want to improve communication with our members. We are keen to regularly inform you of our latest news as well as relevant development within our organization. You will receive this newsletter on a regular basis. We highly recommend that you read through it as it will contain important notice or announcements, as well as tips on own to improve exposure to your business. Starting in January, we will have 2 part time community employees that will provide great support in the office. GREATER EXPOSURE ON FACEBOOK Our Facebook account is becoming more and more successful with ever increasing friends and exposure. We are keen to increase our presence on this social network. There is now a live Facebook feed on the front page of our website. We have introduced a new calendar of events on our FACEBOOK fan page, and have created a direct link from our website into it, thus giving entries extra exposure. Members are welcome to send their events through our dedicated form on our members section (see link below). Please use this form every time you wish to submit an event to us. http://www.visitwicklow.ie/members Check our Facebook Account CHRISTMAS PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION This month, we are running a Photography Competition. We need your support to promote this event. Pictures submitted will increase our picture database, and be used for future promotion of Wicklow. See link: http://www.visitwicklow.ie/newsletter/xmas-photo-competition.htm WICKLOW / KILDARE DESTINATION Failte Ireland has initiate consultation in the creation of a new destination that will combine both Counties Wicklow and Kildare. A steering Group has been formed with trade representatives of both counties with the objective to come up with a development and promotional plan for this destination. Although we are still in early talks, great hopes have been put into this new initiative and we are hoping that time and funding will be dedicated at enhancing visitors experience as well as increasing bed-nights throughout the destination. We will keep you posted on developments. SHORT VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE Online promotion through Youtube is groing. See the latest videos which production was co-sponsored by County Wicklow Partnership. Latest videos include Birdwatch Ireland, Arklow Maritime Museum, Blessington Town, Delgany Heritage Trail, ATC Language School, Bray Sealife Aquarium and Wicklow's Historic Gaol.
